Dexter sounded his best on his Conn 10M. When it disappeared he switched to a Selmer Mark vi.

The sophisticated giant himself. Saw him twice at Ronnie Scott's Club around 1977. The guy had a BIG sound and played a mean Blues . Very good looking, well dressed and delightfully well mannered as well. If he'd been an actor he'd have been more successful than Harry Belafonte.
