Brain Dead 13

Brain Dead 13 was an interactive movie game done by ReadySoft in 1995. It was originally developed for PC MS-DOS and later ported to Panasonic 3DO, Philips CD-i, Atari Jaguar, Sega Saturn and Microsoft Windows. The story was about a young computer expert, who was called to fix a computer at a scary castle. After he was chased around, your goal was to control him in order to escape. I have yet to find a successful way to get Dosbox to run old games. Doesn't load Alone in the Dark. It makes Blood's movements choppy before finally freezing up. Any helpful advice would be appreciated.

Well, did you already read the tutorial linked in my profile? This should be a good start in most cases. In case of Alone In The Dark, it's better to set the CPU cycles to 3000 instead of max, otherwise you won't hear any music. I hope, this helps a bit.

I hate XP and Vista. Why is it Microsoft can implement a way for XBOX games to run on 360, but they can't make a reasonable way to play old games on new pc systems? And the way they continuously make Windows 98 and the other old operating systems obsolete forces us to switch to XP and Vista, where we can only play the boring new shooters like Halo and Gears of War.

as i read this im letting my little brother play this for the first time. hes never seen the cartoon interactive games. im glad i kept my copy of the ps1 game. even has the original case they sold them in. i loved these games :)
