Using the GREATEST spinning reel ever made! Charlie Halada of Team Old School catches a nice 40lber with Mike Smedley. ACCURATE SR12. Night time fishing on New Years Day. It was 20F. at night in 43F. water as a nasty cold front moved through, but we found some bait in 18 feet of water in the Bay. It was the first day of Catch and Release season, so we don't like to net them. caught on an eel off of a float. In this cold water, a head down drop-release is best. BUT the ending is hilarious, notice water dripping from th T-top after Charlie drops her in!

  • Twin Spin #12 ?

  • Yep

  • Are you guys suspending the baits in the water column ? I see you using floats... I live on Long island.. just curious... btw great video

  • Yes< We suspend the baits at about 15 ft with Redi-Rig floats.

    Mike

  • where was this at

  • This was at the lower Chesapeake Bay. You can get banged around sometimes in a small boat, but it is worth it. I think you can see the CBBT in the background at times.- Very close to the Ocean.--Mike
