Standard Hope Christmas entry here save for two remarkable guests -- William "The Refrigerator" Perry who appears on the A.P. All American Football Team -- and a return visit from Bing Crosby who had died in 1977. Bing's rendition of "Do You Hear What I Hear" truly rivals his delivery of "White Christmas." Perry would go on to a respectable career in the N.F.L. and would guest on another Hope Christmas special as a pro. Also the "You're All I Want for Christmas" number with Hope, Brooke Shields, Catherine Bach and John Forsythe is on the oft-viewed Blooper Reel on this channel. Take a look if you haven't already.

The only great thing about the special is the rare Bing Crosby clip. and not the the talent of jailbait queen Brooke Shields.
