I am against indoctrination of all kinds, but College and University are hardly top of the list. There are many other, much more serious, forms of indoctrination. Religion, for instance. It makes me question your motives if you put schooling anywhere near the top.

So you believe that the Government should step in, make rules and stop people from raising their children in a way they see fit? My belief is the only time the State should step in is when the childs life is at risk. Government needs to protect the life of their citizens.

Take the Westboro Baptist Church. Do you believe the government should take their children from them?

Do you even stop to think what kind of power you are giving to the government?

@fishblades I do if it is indoctrination. That is exactly my point. Some people believe all nonwhite people should be killed on the spot. Teaching your child that is wrong. It doesn't matter how near and dear that belief is to you. It is wrong, period. Indoctrinating a child is the purist form of evil.

My Dad and I never really spoke of Politics. He has been a lifelong democrat and I was left of him when I was a teenager. I have never been to Church a day in my life and to be honest I have never asked my Dad if he believes in God. He did say one time it was one of his regrets while raising us. That he wasn't more involved in the Church if just for us.

I'm an Atheist Libertarian who loves Christians, Mormons and Jews alike. Can't say the same for most Atheists I've ever met.

Virtually everyone attends Public school. Those who are home schooled are mocked as sheltered even though they are always more educated. I may know 4-5 people who were raised as "Religious" from birth... far far less than the 600 in my Senior class.

You seem to have a problem with a Parent teaching their child. Are they not allowed to raise their children as they see fit?

If you raise your child as a vegetarian aren't you forcing your beliefs on them?

I attend a university in chicago, this is a HUGE problem. Any social science type class you will take is going to be "taught" by some heavily biased prick who just wants to spew their propaganda. It infuriates me to sit there and watch my fellow classmates eat up that bullshit.  Very few classmates even realize this is going on. Ive also noticed that male professors are considerably more objective than than the female professors.
