Another demonstration of the Optoma HD65 Projector. Diagonal width = 100".

I recently changed my setup and moved my projector to a different wall to make the screen quite a bit larger.

Car : Lamborghini Murcielago upgraded to over 800 HP
Track : Mazda Laguna Seca Speedway

I'm using my Xbox360 racing wheel so I got around the track a bit better than on GT5 Prologue with my stupid PS3 controller. =)

  • best buy says it supports 1080p 1080i is this true??

  • @acrock21 It can accept a 1080 signal, but it only displays in 720p, so it's not actually 1080p.

  • @acrock21 the more important thing is that its native res is 720p, whereas min is wxga or something like that :( need to purchase the hd67

  • @acrock21 Yes, I really don't think you are going to be able to find a better deal on the market right now.

If you don't mind spending a little bit more money($400-ish), you might want to step up to the HD20, which is a REAL 1080p projector. I don't know a lot about the HD20, but depending on your budget, it might be worth the extra money.

If you don't want to spend the extra money, I highly doubt you will be anything but fully satisfied with an HD65.

  • @t3hmauler so you would recommend me to buy it?

  • @acrock21 I would say if you had 720 and 1080p side by side, you could definatly tell a noticable difference in the quality. However, it varies on how far you sit back from the screen as well, and the size of the screen. 720p looks fantastic on its own, so it just depends on how much you are willing to spend, and how picky you are.

Everyone who sees my projector is amazed by the quality of it, and probably wouldn't be able to tell it's 720p just by looking at it.

  • @t3hmauler oh .. i see well how big of a difference is that? i dont have anything for 720 or 1080 yet

  • @acrock21 It can accept a 1080 signal, but it only displays in 720p, so it's not actually 1080p.

  • @khantko you might want to check out the hd66 its a newer version of the hd65

  • @khantko I sit about 10 or 11' away from mine, so that should be really good for you. You could sit even closer to it, but then you might not be able to view the entire screen comfortably, so 12' should be a perfect distance for you.
