@misterblackdark Yeah I've never seen the point of digital zoom other than to put a large number on the display case in the shop... you get like 1 pixel filling the whole screen. If it were 800x OPTICAL zoom then I would be impressed

if it was on auto iris it would have closed down automatically when the frame was full of white, bright moon and you'd see the moon detail properly then. It looks like the iris was set to manual as there have been not auto iris movement at all

@Leeate I don't know anything about camcorders. How do you manually close the aperture? Is it just some setting in the menu...?
