Zippy Race - gameplay

Zippy Race appeared along side Road Fighter on the same 31-in-1 cart that has been the basis for many of my recent videos. These were a hot item in Nova Scotia for a while. I mean, parents didn't know that multicarts were bootlegs or anything - they just knew that with 31 games there had to be something their kids liked.

Zippy Race is a favourite of mine, I played it a lot along with Road Fighter. Both use similar principles though Road Fighter is harder out of the gate because it's extremely sensitive. Zippy Race, however, has additional CC's to play after you complete one. It gets _ridiculously_ fast.

You'll notice the technique I perform by cutting my speed behind a car before passing. If you press A and B together on these early levels, you can travel at the same speed as the cars. They will not try to bump you if you try passing them at this point. Well, you'll see for yourself in the video. Enjoy!

By the time you get that far you pretty much have to rank in the upper echelon anyways. If only for the sake of fuel.

They are even worse when you get to the "Driving toward the city" segments where they actively try and run you down ;).

They're pretty similar on the first loop through, but they divuerge rapidly at the second loop. Zippy Race just keeps getting faster and the cars in Road Fighter get more aggressive. They're a very similar idea, but they do feel different to play!

@Pedlaj 1000 CC is difficult moto-category (in control). But it was hard from 250 CC (in control). But I was never 1st using the moto on game beginning.

This game can be much better with Quake announcer and Clubbed To Death for BGM.
