best is to use, ground beef and pork. Some add ground veal to it also. I add the crust of the bread, as it is moistured with either milk or water. I always,... Always.. use Fresh ingredients. Fresh minced garlic, fresh basil (when available).1/2 to 1 cup romano or parmesan cheese. fresh parsley, eggs, black pepper, and very little salt, (if any). no onion or(powder). With experience you learn the right consistency of the mixture, as you do not want them like rubber balls. I

I just put my first batch in the oven. The aroma going into the hot box tells me something good is about to happen at the Z-House :-)

I just made these and you have all the same products I used, down to the Publix eggs. Funny coincidence.
