    Surprisingly, you have included only singers from the Hindi, Urdu and Hindustani

    belt. What about Yesudas, Balamurali Krishna, S. Janaki, Susheela, Chitra, A R Rahman to say a few. India is not Hindi and Hindi is not India. No wonder why south always feel less appreciated. Don't get me wrong I am a great fan of Rafi Saheb, the same can not be told about a North Indian who would even know a word of Tamil.

    It appears that India is only Hindi and Hindustani music. Well we have some part of India called Tamil Nadu and South. Its great to appreciate Hindustani and Urdu singers, don't forget that South also is a part of India.
