I overclock my AMD Phenom AM2 9850 from 2.5 Ghz stock to 3.0Ghz on Air cooling with an Asus M2N SLi Deluxe Motherboard.
Voltage 1.4V
Multiplier 13.5
FSB 225
Ram under-clocked for next overclock of CPU

I just recently purchased an MSI nforce 750a AM2+ Mobo and it has made my cpu MUCH more stable. I can run it at 3.3Ghz. I havent tried any higher yet. I have also upgraded my cooling (still air) to a xigmatek red scorpion and it works WAY better then the last cooler. I have temps of 16-30c no higher even when overclocked. So keep an eye out for a video!

Is it neccisary to overclock your RAM as well when doing this? and what do you mean with underclocked?

you do not have to overclock the ram..BUT when you boost the fsb the ram automatically gets bumped up too. So what I did for future overclocks is I took my DDR800 down to DDR667 which is "underclocking" it.

i too have a MSI Nforce 750a Sli Mobo and a 9850 and a pair of 9800GTX+ cards. i can only get 3.0Ghz with the stock cooler. did you hit 3.3 on the stock cooler? if no can u tell me what cooler u did use ;) im looking to get a new cooler so i can push it. instead of upgrading

Too bad you are using Windows Xp; Windows Xp cannot use four cores only two, need to upgrade the operating system!
