Spore Family Summer Project 2010

We just wanted to let our friends and family in on our family summer project. We're headed down to La Mision, Baja, Mexico at the end of July to help out a wonderful group of people. They're called Open Arms Ministries, and for the past several years they have actively kept children out of orphanages and off the streets by offering a no-cost daycare to needy families.

This global recession has affected us all and Mexico is no exception. Open Arms provides assistance to families who are in desperate need of child care service. All too often young children are left home alone because both parents must work to make ends meet. By providing a refuge during the day for children is a way Open Arms keeps families together. They help with school, provide meals and give a ton of love to these children.
