  • Do artists for these games do it on paper, scan, downsample and touch up? Or are they like.. master of the 8 bit palette and MS paint?

  • I sometimes wonder the same thing myself, honestly. I have no idea how Sierra's artists actually made game art. I know for some games, the art started off hand-drawn, and I suspect that was the case for QFG4, since I think that's how they did their 256-color art. As for 16-color art... I really don't know.

  • I know you probably do not want more suggestions, but I know you prefer a parser interface. Why not Conquest Of Camelot?

  • I do prefer a parser interface, but CoC wasn't that much fun to play for me...

  • u know wat is the only thing that really sucks about this series of yours?? No voices :(, its not that theres anything wrong with you but the voice acting was absolutley f@#$ing brilliant in this game, i loved the narrator but yeh EVERYONE was brought to life by the voice acting, thats what made me love this game

  • The voice acting in the talkie version is pretty good, but part of the fun of doing a Let's Play is doing the narration and voices yourself. If you want to just hear the voices, you could make a series of playthrough videos. :)

  • @hercrabbiness: punnybones tonight said the gravedigger gets buried in his work...not everything he says is un-useful--he did fall into a grave.

  • Btw you don't have to bother to get the grue goo to give it to Baba Yaga, you can just give him/her a garlic.

  • You were quite unfair on the little gnome comedian. You didn't give his new jokes a chance, you just quickly skipped past them. Punny Bones did give out quite a witty description of the residents of the town of Mordavia. Oh, well, not hearing Punny Bones is a small price to play in order to live the game I never got to finishing on my own. Thanks, guys!

  • The spell Baba Yaga offers is Hide, which you can only get here and is not automatically given in QfGV. Hide is only available in QfGV by importing with it, and it is easily abused in the last game since you don't become visible by spellcasting.

  • I think its pronounced paprika (pep-reeka)

  • Well, at least our ears don't bleed whenever he opens his mouth anymore.^u^

  • Well, the bar worked. The jokes were actually tolerable.

  • KQ7 was alright, but it was such a stark contrast in style and writing that it hardly felt like it belonged. They should have opted to evolve their own style rather than adopt the classic Disney-ish cartoon style.

There's nothing wrong with what they've tried other than KQ7 did not feel like a KQ at all.

I think what we can ALL agree on is that KQ8 is a travesty and affront to the fans of the series.

  • To each their own, right? I just didn't like 7 because they simplified everything so much, it took out a lot of the challenge that I enjoyed in earlier games. Plus, the plot was a mite annoying to me. (That didn't stop me from playing it ten times, though. :3)
