THERE IS NOTHING QUITE LIKE THE ALASKA BROWN BEAR, gorging itself with fat, nutrition-rich pink salmon to prepare itself for its annual winter hibernation. Just as cool, however, is the insatiable curiosity of the Steller Sea Lion, bobbing heads and peering to check and us out, as we capture a few minutes of magic on video. This 3-minute segment captures them both, as we venture onto quiet, protected Katoi Bay, Afognak Island, Alaska. There, the annual spawning run of pink and silver salmon and a local fish hatchery attract the bears, the sea lions and the salmon, all in one very special place. This short video invites you to observe see and enjoy them, as we did.
Enjoy.
