While this is my first YouTube video upload, I'm not sure if this meets all the requirements, but this has always been one of my favorite songs. The combination of music and lyrics very seldom comes so close (IMO) to conjuring up all the unspoken courage it takes to have conviction, as in this song. While I don't know exactly what to say about the musical "The Man of La Mancha," I think Wikipedia does a great job --so that link's below.
I didn't see this particular recording of "The Impossible Dream" posted on YouTube but it's the very best:

This song reminds me of my father, he is still alive, but i just think about him when i hear this because he is so brave and persistent with any goal he has!

BRIAN STOKES MITCHELL! WOW!
A mesmerizing rendition of "The Impossible Dream." Brian is by now known as one of the greatest voices that American music thankfully has produced! I have heard him sing, with his incredible baritone voice, wonderful renditions of "This Nearly Was Mine," and "Some Enchanted Evening," both from South Pacific. Truly he is one of the most amazing and talented singers/actors that America has the good fortune to enjoy!
