General Motors reports that women are now driving sales of a new generation of family car, the crossover vehicle. Female automakers are making sure the vehicles are equipped with extra safety features, storage and family-friendly accessories. The idea is to have the car manufacturer's ideal customer behind the wheel from start to finish. A crossover is a vehicle that looks like an SUV, but is actually built like a car.
