An Inconvenience

For now I will simply upload in 15 minute increments. If I understand correctly all YouTube strikes are permanent, so either I delete this account or I never upload over 15 minutes again. I don't know what to do honestly, color me annoyed.

Could I just ask you, what was the actual issue? Im intrigued by your situation as I have never heard of this kind of treatment(Not letting you post 15+ vids). Was it just deleted and you got an email about it or what?

@SilverWorldEnter To put it specifically, I received an e-mail out of the blue from YouTube informing me that my video on my old cosplay account was removed due to copyright infringement. I didn't really think anything of it until I tried to log back into YouTube and I was forced to watch a video and answer questions about copyright. After that I discovered that due to the e-mail of my TigeroftheWinds account being the same as the account with the infringing video, I was given a strike.

@SilverWorldEnter This strike reduced my status on YouTube to being in poor standings and I immediately lost my privileges to have videos over 15 minutes in length. Two more strikes and I would have lost my account entirely as we know. The issue for me was that I, and most importantly my viewers, happened to really enjoy 30min videos. So to resolve it I simply created a new account and will eventually be deleting this one. Hope that helps clear it up a bit :3

@ThatDeadlyMedicine Trust me I know the rage, I've spent the past few days just sitting up and thinking about what I should do. I've finally come to the conclusion to create a new account and simply transfer over my old videos. I'm loathe to do it but I can create videos over 15mins right off the bat on this new account. I do hope that you follow me over, thank you for your support!

That is pretty messed up, I mean you could create another account and slowly start building that up as well so you can get to be able to create 15+ min. vids again if thats what you really want but I definetly feel your pain.

PS. Ive had a couple of accounts closed on me as well ...*shrug* dont even know why, Free advertising just isnt enough for some people but we can only hope for the best....

@SilverWorldEnter I have done just that, created a new account because Google has made it so that you can upload videos over 15mins right after you've created it. I'm loathe to see this account go, but I've already made several 30minute videos and I don't want to change it because of a 3 year old video on another account :/. This whole thing is just a mess, but I hope that it gets cleared up one day u.u

Why is YouTube so dickish? That's not fair. It's not even your fault!! D: I SAY WE SET FIRE TO THEIR FEET, REMOVE THEIR FACES AND WEAR THEM AS CAPES. >:D

Aw. At least you can still make videos, even if they can only be 15 minutes now. :/
