once i caught a painted turtle while fishing (by accident i didnt see him/her coming to the hook. and it swallowed my hook and i kept for like 3-4 hours to make sure it was ok and i let it go.

I think he's trying to pull the hook from the front foot. But the explaination says he swallowed the hook. Not quite sure.
