Rebeco en Los Picos de Europa

A rare encounter with a rebeco in Los Picos de Europa a few kilometres uphill from the top station of the cable-car at Fuente De. Normally these small deer are extremely shy and will run off at the sight of people but for some unknown reason, this individual seemed totally unafraid of the three of us. It approached us from a small herd of about six deer. The others kept their distance. It was an even more incredible experience when I managed to tempt it to eat a nut-bar from my hand (regrettably not caught on this video but I do have photos of that). Sadly, its horns were broken off or it would have looked even more beautiful. Maybe they are replaced every year, I don't know. This was filmed in July 2007.
