Jason Mraz performing "The Remedy" at Java Joe's 2002.06.27 (16/23)
These are the videos that started Uncle Crispy Productions... one thursday night we brought 2 cameras to a show, the next day the first Uncle Crispy video was edited, and the rest is history. This was one of the last times the band performed at Java Joes without mics. This was also Jason's second show after having recorded his Elektra Album, so some of the songs were still new. It is a classic Java Joe's show, just Jason, Toca & Ian and a coffee shop full of fans!
A downloadable version of this video is available at http://www.unclecrispy.com

  • It's a moot argument. We shouldn't assume that Jason cannot play the guitar as well as John Mayer just because he does not focus on solos or more complicated combinations with the guitar. Also, depending on your life or the phases of your life, each of their lyrics could touch different audience and some may have common experiences that makes them a fan of both. However, Jason's vocal performances have elevated him from other singers as each performance is different yet still fantastic.

  • I hate the Mayer/Mraz argument. Neither is better no worse, also they are so different I reckon! I'm a massive fan of both. Mraz lyrics are better, Mayers guitars/melody are better, but ultimately their songs are both of equal awesomeness.

  • @69erstud As far as I'm concerned Mayer has Mraz owned on guitar and Mraz has Mayer owned vocally. They both have their good points. Prefer Mraz's lyrics too, much more clever and a lot less "get in my bed", and this is coming from a John Mayer fan :P

  • I'm a huge fan of both, IMO Mayer is a better artist overall. Mraz has better vocals/Mayer has better guitar skills. I think what separates them is that Mayer can play a wide range of music and Mraz is confined to a certain style...which is ok. In the end they are both sick. that is all.

  • Mayer can shred on the guitar. He blows Jason out of the water there. However, Jason Mraz's singing and the melodies to his songs blow Mayer out of the water. Mraz has a much happier sorta' vibe, while Mayer's music seems to come from a darker place. I like them both, but I couldn't listen to a whole Mayer album at once. His songs all sound the same, to me.

  • wat?mayer/mraz....no comparison.mraz is amazing.i've heard much better versions of this song.he's in his own league mayer can give up and go home now.

  • ummm how can people say Mraz is better than Mayer. Mraz seems to spam the same chord changes/intervals in his songs. Mayer has so many more techniques and approaches down, and plus he's a solid bluesman. Just look up John Mayer Trio.

  • INSPIRING song...go JASON.!!!

    keep spreading the love...

  • trommer swinger ikke en meter
