This was an awesome performance.
I think I might post my videos as well.

And the night before he performed at the BigTimeOut in Cumberland. Amazing show! Check out the footage ... the audio turned out pretty good.

No, a "few good songs" means just that ( only my opinion) - among them was the encore "Don't Walk Away Eileen" which was as loud as any but for some reason the sound guys finally noticed the bass clipping and backed it off making the vocals stand out better.I couldn't tell if most of the extra loud stuff was good lyricly as words were drowned out by noise.I've heard many acts at high volume( Pearl Jam,Zep,Oasis,Neil Young,Lee Michaels)&all had intelligible lyrics-loud but not distorted.

Oh yeah, and 'someone' who knows who she is fed him special BC cookies before the concert - lmao!!

I was about 90 degrees to the left of this angle - the sounds was sooo much better than this clip - too much volume for one little camera - lol... Anyway, he surprized me by being much better in concert than on cd - way more raw...

This was a great performance by Sam Roberts! Thanks for posting this video!

There were a few good songs during this closing act for 2009 Roots&Blues - mostly ( for my ears) it was a lot of noise - bass way too pushed( lots of clipping & fuzzy sound) - very few intelligible lyrics & I wouldn't pay money to see this band in a large venue again.Thankfully there were many more excellent performances during the 3 days.Overall really good crowd with no drunken idiots screwing things up for everyone else. Peace.

By "a few good songs" I think you're referring to how the songs were amplified, not the perfomance itself. The sound quality may not have been ideal but it was on par with other live shows I've seen in large venues. I didn't notice the lyrics being unclear, maybe because I was singing along for most of the show. Besides, rock is meant to be belted out at high volume! As far as the festival as a whole, I agree, there were a lot of great acts. My favorite discovery: Lee Harvey Osmond.
