Wildlife Files March 22nd 2010 Little Paxton Pits Nature Reserve

Today was a little breezy, with the prospect of rain. As many of you will know now, a little bit of water does not keep me away from my second home. It may prevent me from filming, as I do not want to get the camera wet and damage it, but it does not spoil my snjoyment of being out there ans watching and listening to the widlife that surrounds us.

I read a comment from my dear friend Ton (tps607) on the Great crested grebe video, who asked what noise they make. I have pout a couple of clips in to let you hear them Tom . Thank you for asking the question.


I thought I would put an update to the Environmental Education Centre and a quick look at the Educational Pond. As you will see, it is coming along nicely as is the educational pond.

The snow drops are slowly withering. As spring finally gets under way, we see many signs in the form of new buds on bushes and trees.

A few short clips of some of the wildlife I saw around the reserve today concludes this episode of the Widlife Files. I hope you enjoy the video.

Thank you to each and everyone of you, and I really do mean that. Without your views and comments and ratings, I would not be putting together these videos of my time spent away from bricks and water. My sih is that all the birds and wildlife, can live in poeace and tranquility, without the threat from mankind, forcing them out of their natural homes and into extinction. I cannot picture a world without them. Can you ?

@lmmsl It is being run by the Wildlife Trust. I met Deb yesterday, she knows her stuff. It is going to be a classroom for children and adults whop are interested in Nature and preservation and conservation. The Reserve had 3 schools in 3 days, it is awesome to see the children enjoyinig as they learn. Never had that when I was a kid.
