The River Suites, Saugatuck Mi

Sometimes vacations yield surprises and River Suites is one of them. This waterfront establishment in downtown Saugatuck is an interesting study in contrasts. The exterior of this two story barn-red wooden structure looks like a picturesque New England fishing shanty. The pleasure craft and charter boats docked in front rock gently while charter captains scurry amid ropes, lines and pulleys to clean the morning catch. Small hand carved wooden signs tacked midway up the building read Deli-Groceries-Beer-Wine.

River Suites is so strategically located, that within 100 feet one can rent a charter fishing boat, canoe, kayak, pontoon or two-person run-about. Take a ride on the Star of Saugatuck, hop aboard the Saugatuck Chain Ferry or just walk two blocks to all area restaurants, shops and art galleries.

This is a special hide-away tucked away in downtown Saugatuck.
