The song There Is A River refers to the "living water" that Jesus promises us all in John 4-14 where he tells the Samaritan woman; JOHN 4-14: "but whoever drinks the water I shall give will never thirst; the water I shall give will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."
My mother sang this song to me as a child to help me to go to sleep. The lyrics are a bit different from what I'm used to, but it's still the same song. Thank you for posting it online. I have bookmarked this webpage and will show it to my mother.

I love this song so much.
Isaiah 55:1 - Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.
St. John 7:37-38 - On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him."
