Topaz the 3 legged pit bull needs a home

Many of you will remember the story of Michael Reed and his dog Topaz from almost 3 years ago: Michael was homeless and Topaz his constant companion, usually tied to his shopping cart. On August 31st, 2008, Topaz got caught in the crossfire of the police in a shooting involving another homeless man named Eddie Franco. Topaz was shot 4 times and as a result of the shooting lost one of her hind legs. Many people pulled together and Michael and Topaz finally got off the streets and into a trailer park. They have lived there peacefully for the past 2 years.

Michael still lives in his trailer with Topaz but he is terminally ill with no family to speak of.

Topaz is going to need a new home!! PLEASE help me find her a home. She is around 6 years old, in great condition, LOVES LOVES LOVES everybody and is great with children. No cats please. Topaz would like to be the only dog in the home. She is house-trained, enjoys car rides and LOTS OF KISSES!
