What killed the USFL is probably many things. But a couple of them is that they expanded into NFL Markets like Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington where they had competition. As well as moving from the Spring to the Fall again more competition.

it wont work now...there is no way the usfl will be able to grab players from college like they could back in the day. the nfl strike was the main reason...the usfl had future hall of famers in that league and i dont think it will be able to strike a blow at the nfl after 25 years....the only thing good about the usfl is the logos and the team names...cant beat the HOUSTON GAMBLERS...

I will never forgive Trump for wrecking the USFL. When people look back that the league they should remember the great people involved like John Bassett (Tampa Bay owner) and Carl Peterson (Philly GM). Trump was a joke and his ego took away one of the favorite things in my childhood. I hope this movie tells it right.
