Start at 0:33 and either hold down or rapidly press the space bar.

    1. He goes up for the catch and reaches with his left (gloved) hand.

    2. He clearly misses.and loses his glove over the wall.

    3. As he falls to the ground, he lowers both hands to brace for impact.

    4. In his right hand, before he hits the ground, you see the ball. His right hand is lowered to brace for impact, but you clearly see the white ball in his hands before he lands at around 0:34-0:35.

This is exactly correct. Watch it frame by frame and you'll see it deflect off the glove back into his body.

I hope you were joking. if you catch a ball of the green monster without it hitting the ground its obviously not a catch. same goes here.

while the catch does look odd and is hard to believe, its even harder to believe that he would have been able to reach between the pads in the wall while he was in the air and pull out a ball that could not be seen before he jumped in the air. Not to mention how improbably it would be that there was a ball stuck in that exact location.

he pulls a ball from between the padding in the wall. probably got stuck there during batting practice and he felt it as he went up for the jump
