here is somthing that I would like to say about stevie (after years of fighting a multitude of problems-personal,managerial,and drug related -all the hard work finaly paid off, stevie had discoverd a level of julfillment he could only of dreamt of.

And then tragedy struck . On August 27, 1990 following an all-star jam with Eric Clapton , Brother Jimi Vaughan ,Buddy Guy, And Robert Cray at Alpine Valley in East Troy ,Wisconsin, Stevie's helicpter crashed, taking the lives of all five passengers........ The music world had suddenly lost on of its most brilliant stars......

"so much has been writen about Stevie ,says bass player Tommey shannon," "but no one has touched on what was really improtant to stevie. Reaching people,and sending them love,and blessings,thats all he was after.Everything Stevie did turned to gold."

@man0warII Listen to Jimi Hendrix's Voodoo Chile (Slight Return) in Atlanta in '70. You'll see what I mean. Don't get me wrong, I love Hendrix. It's just I prefer Stevie Ray's thick Texas wah kind of tone. I still think Hendrix was the superior songwriter and musician.
