@34patleg Wow. I just watched this tribute and said almost the same thing. I mumbled to myself that he seemed a friendly, immensely cool guy. I would've liked to meet him.

@moviefan1014 alays paying tribute to legends. TCM this thursday remembers Sidney Lumet. they will air some of his films on thursday

A truly great director. His talent can never be replaced.

Although he was a great director, i will always remember his performance in"Tootsie"....He seemed to be having such fun putting dustin hoffman down (no doubt parallelling what was going on off screen"

I liked "They Shoot Horses, Don't They?" released in 1969.

I always cry when TCM remembers these great actors and actresses. May Paul Newman rest in peace.
