Me in my first race ever in my Juno Racing SS3-V6 at Barber Motorsports Park with PBOC. This is the third time I've driven the car and the first time ever racing; it's the first appearance for Juno at Barber too. :) The Juno had no issues at all while Radical's were dropping like flies with blown engines, transmissions, etc. A total of eight didn't make it through the weekend. I placed 4th overall in this race of 38 cars even after the spin you'll see at the end of the video. Placing 1st in the race was Joel Feinberg of ALMS' Primetime Race Group; he was a huge five seconds faster than me so I've still got a lot of work to do. LOL

You can find the original full size version of the video on TalkLambo.com in the racing area.

  • Looks nice! How much are these things? Do you have to be a millionare to maintain then and stuff?

  • I'm far from millionaire so no, but it really depends on how often you take them out. Tires are the most expensive ongoing cost, particularly if you're racing; soft compound tires and the power of the V6 goes through them.

The 250hp four cylinder engine models are lighter, harder compound tires last longer and if you're just doing track days instead of racing, you'll be able to make tires last a lot longer since you don't need to get that extra second per lap out of the car driving at 100%.

  • Hehe, the millionaire-thing was a joke, hope you got that one ;)

Anyway, im FAR from able to buy one of these now, but it could be a realistic thing to do in like 7-8 years or so. And only trackday-driving! But as i said, how much is one of these new?

  • Depends on the specs and the exchange rates since they come from the UK. Depending on configuration, anywhere from $80k to $160k was the range when I bought mine, but the favorable exchange rate currently could cut that by up to $40k at the high end compared to when I purchased 14 months ago.

  • Do you drive for a living, or is it something fun you do? Anyway, once again, nice driving. I want to drive so bad. I know I can, I just need to get spotted somehow...

  • The sound of the throttle should have made it obvious I was in my first race ever and nearly running the car idle.

  • I don't think he would slide out in the middle of the track when cars are coming lol..jking//but really..i don't think he would

  • This was practice wasn't it? I mean, the ss3 isn't competitive against bmw m3's and what not =)..nice driving. Please contact me if you need a drive haha..i wish..

  • Fast on the track and fast on the internet as well! fast guy! cheers and good luck for the upcoming races. cheers

  • LOL, no, I was in the middle of my first ever race, definitely not intentional. :)
