My, a beautiful engine! A few nitpicks about it, however... that watertower 'Big Boy' passes at 1:40 is scarily close to the engine. And, although the engine seems a little... too polished for my liking (it's a working engine, after all) it's a lovely rendition of a powerful locomotive. Well done!

just missed some smoke at the weals, the preasure schould make the train explode now XD

@kuwait891 No, not when I was there. there is no assigned topic for final year animations, students can do whatever they like as far as I know. I don't see why it should matter either way.

Bloody fantastic model! Shame the animation seems too smooth. Remember a train will be vibrating much more. That smoke effect is amazing too; not quite believable, but adequate.

@sebcastilho Hi there - I was Teesside too hehe. Yeah it's not perfect but oh well... I only managed to solve first round of problems of how to animate it all, and didn't get time to go back and refine everything. This was my frist 3D animation in maya though so bound to be a little rough :P

Well hey, with these talents you can get a very good job working at a company like aruan for those high quality models and animations.
But if that happens I dont think my pc dare stands a chance rendering the smoke alone XD

@omglolwtfmudkips hehe, i got a job in a movie studio after showing them this animation. I did almost go into games afterwards, but now I have my own company which is pretty fun :P
