The World spended $1 trillion on weapons in 2006, and only $30 on Charity and Development. Sad but true, however Migrants hold the key to this problem. With remitances of over $300 billion a year from the richest nation to the poorst they remitt not only cash but also new ideas and culture. Should we not invest in systems and strategies to actually make something of this existing magnificent economic and cultural power that migrants have? I think we should and have devised a business project. Should you need more information about it please do not hesitate to contact me.

  • Excellent point you're sharing . But the main ingredient your missing is greediness. Our society runs on profit making strategies. In other words money. Giving or donating to poverty, doesn't benefit them bc it brings no money to the owners ; hence, it isn't popular. This happens in capitalistic countries.

  • I am not saying that this money must be donated to poverty or be given in charity. No, I am talking about social enterprises. Investments in key areas that are needed by the society. eg, drinking water, or anything to do with microfinance, those investments give profits back and as I first mentioned there is enough money to go araund.
