  • Full size Chevrolets went downhill in looks from 1969 to 1976. Each year they looked bigger, fatter and uglier. The 77 Chevrolet was a huge improvement over every Chevrolet made after 1969 in my opinion.

  • @TheLizardKing1967 The downsizing of these cars had been in the works since 1972, when Nixon was still president. The CAFE standards (which mandated fuel economy improvements through the early '80s) were put in place in 1974 as Ford was replacing Nixon. Both Ford and Nixon supported them as well as the 55mph speed limit. This car was in the showrooms in the fall of 1976, when Carter was still campaigning to be replace Ford. Carter was sort of a dud, but you can't blame him for everything.

  • Yes, its a 77, but the new cars came out late in the year, so, although the commercial maybe 76 it was for the 77 modle year, they were pusching the change. I like the bigger 76 style myself, I had a 72 Impala for a while, love it.

  • @NESherv I'm fixing to go put some 24's on my 76 chevy impala BITCH because it is my money.

  • @carntruckfreak4life It is sad that certain people choose not to kill stereotypes. But by giving in to the actions of degenerates, we ourselves are contributing to the prejudice. The best we can do is to praise the people who aren't helping the said stereotypes, and to continue with an open mind.

  • @NESherv That's not always the case, my friend. I don't hate other people, in fact I'm trying love all of God's children. But what you see these young men who often drive these donked cars are in fact on the news of drive by shootings, aggravated robbery, and evading arrest. Just this past month or so, we had two black females evading the police at high rate of speed, who were driving a black 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix with 22s on it. They were involved in drive by shooting.

  • @carntruckfreak4life ...'71 Dodge Charger 500. It's Hemi Orange, with '70s slot mag wheels and white-lettered radial tires. A real beauty.

Neither of these gentlemen have been to jail. Obama may not be the best president yet, but you needn't generalize and call offensive names. I pity the fact that you may not have had the best luck with other races, and I hope you understand that bad taste is not classified by the color of a person's skin, but rather, the color of the person's car.

  • @carntruckfreak4life While I'm glad you agree with my standpoint on style, I don't agree that we should resort to racism. One of my best friends happens to be black, as does my neighbor. My friend has a '75 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz in pristine condition, and HE'S the one who's kept it all original. It's got its factory-original brown metallic paint, its original brougham vinyl roof. Everything is original on this car, right down to the wheels. My neighbor, on the other hand, has a (continued)

  • @NESherv You give a black man anything, he'll tear it up instanly. Look what happen when we gave Obama the USA, he tore it up. Cutting out the social security, socializing the wealth. This guys is a destructive socialist. I understand that you feel upset about these classic GM 5th generation B body sedans being destroyed by niggers and latino homeboys who's been in and out of jail.

  • @NESherv Amen! Depending on the car, that ought to be a capital offense!
