  • wat r the demensions for the radial? in some shots it looks huge but in others it only looks as if its 4" in diameter

  • about 9 inches diameter. I sold that one a while ago, so I cant say exactly. It is homebuilt, but not by me.

  • Cool homebuilts! You sure get a lot out of a camp stove and a pressure cooker! (Did I get your boiler right?) Were you running really low pressures?

  • Yep, old camp stove, and even older pressure cooker! hehe. Hey, it works, and has a safety valve to boot! Pressures were low, 4 lbs. to 25 lbs. tops. Perhaps I should have shown the gage eh?

  • double action cylinder ??,

    piont 4:30

  • whats up with the cooling fins on the radial? That's killing your fuel economy. Not that the engine is doing anything. But still it tells me that the guy you got the thing from knew nothing about steam engines.

  • What's the purpose of the 'cooling ribs' on the radial? It can't be a good thing to cool the cylinder and make the steam's volume shrink?

  • Now that is COOL!

  • cool. how much did u sell it for? who was it made by?

  • The second one works very much like a locomotive engine.
