I can tell you exactly why people were throwing shit.

Less Than Jake played the previous set. They got the crowd riled up and were in fact having a "grass fight" of sorts giving the appearance of a much smaller version Woodstock '94. Apparently some of that energy had transferred.

I remember thinking Dickie was a bitch.

That's still the impression that I get.
