  • i use a para .45 Black Watch Companion.3.5 in barrell single stack.love it ! never jams, holds good groups and easy to conceal.the only con is its a little heavy for a conceal gun put i guess needs to handle those 230 grains rounds.will never sale it.i dont say this just because i work for para but because ive tried others.and they arent ugly like the cookie cutter models of today (:

  • @MultiGuitarman53 Awe.....you have a Gem. The LDA trigger system which I often have difficulty in explaining to the more 1911 traditionalist regarding the double action, The LDA's trigger fires at the 4 1/2 lbs on the 1st and everyshot where others have a heavier pull 1st then lighter at single action that trigger consistancy to me makes me more accurate at quicker shooting....add the spurless hammer, overall consistant function, glad to hear thanks for comment

  • I have heard that the ParaOrdinance .45 ACP Warthog jams alot. Go with the Sig Sauer P-220?

  • @microminiskirt I own both. Warthog hasent malfunctioned on me and Sigs are wonderful weapons that I have yet found any flaw that I can bitch about..if I could only find a woman like a Sig !!!

  • @jdwood43 THANKS.

  • @xeanth My friend, the Kimber I had my issues with was 6 years ago. The company in and of itself in not trustworthy.

The reviews I have seen with their new ultra-compact 9mm has ongoing issues.

My impression is that Kimber is a gun media darling and they get flattering reviews but the reality is that they are basically crap.

After I sold my Kimber I got a Wilson Protector and have been very happy with it.

    Cheers.

  • @usarmycaptainamerica Kimber has had problems with customer service, and quality control for about a year now. but if you can find a older Kimber I would snag it. the c/q of the older ones ( anything over a year) is top notch. But as of the last month or so, the customer service has improved.

  • My brother owns a gun store here in WA. state and deals with Para, Clot, SA, Kimber, and Smith. The Para's are the most returned due to jams, failure to feeds, and all around fit and finish issues.

  • is there a noticeable difference in 40 cal and 45 recoil? I want a para but not sure what cal

  • @MaoludOmari it is twice the width of a traditional extractor it prevents stove piping

  • What does a "power extractor" do exactly?

  • 16 in the chamber damn now thats a pepper box hahaha

  • The Paras are great just stay away from the mix guns unless you fire them before you buy them!!!!!

  • Kimber customer service is absolute shit, I will MEVER buy another $1,000.00 pistol from them or anything else for that matter and send my Kimber off to the company only to get it back more than 3 months later without the problem being resolved.

I strongly recommend that ANYONE looking for a 1911 style puistol look at one of the more reputable companies to do business with.
