a tip: After playing a chord, cut the chord sustain by just raising the left hand without losing the chord shape.I guess it is some sort of "staccato" typical of Joao's playing

  • @lawnelson ...yikes!! I hope your body is OK... I fainted during a migraine attack and broke my left thumb... (I think)..or dislocated...or something... didn't get it looked at... it healed, kind of... but I have to adjust my playing a bit... I 'wrap' my left thumb for some styles (steel string blues..)... and it's quite painful after a while now... oh well.. life goes on... without a guitar, though...! difficult... good luck to you

  • @lawnelson Lawrence, I am one of many who have followed and appreciated your videos. I am so sorry to hear that you lost your guitar in the earthquake. I hope you and your family are safe and that you very soon get another guitar!

  • @evanstunes excellent way to makea video teaching a song with many finicky chords!

  • Oh, Bahia,

Bahia que não me sai do pensamento

  • would be great to see the right hand too, just to see which strings you are plucking. with a couple of trys and a good ear it would be obvious but some need more of a clue. cheers
