There was sand on the road, and he simply went in too fast. The co-driver clearly reports the sand, and you can see it in the curve just before the crash.

@cichy187 Uh I think after 10 years of being in the highest level of motorsport, Kimi knows a lil more about racing lines than you my friend.. He goes on the outside so he can maintain speed and slingshot out of the corner to the next straight..
