For this video I got my UMK3 JAMMA PCB all wired up, including the JAMMA+ low kick harness, and did a quick test. Since my monitor is a VGA monitor, I bought a converter board so I can hook up RGB signals from JAMMA boards. It isn't perfect, as you can see on the Parental Advisory screen, but I may be able to tweak the settings a bit. Any questions, feel free to ask.

UPDATE: For some reason I can't post a reply to any comments or post any new comments on this video any more. To answer the question posted by mkkhanzohasashi, I bought the RGB to VGA converter on eBay from seller video1963. You can find it by going to eBay stores and typing "CGA to VGA" in the search, or it is also listed at http://www.8liners.com/parts.htm where it is listed as "ACV-011 VIDEO CONVERTER". It is also available at http://www.jammaboards.com

  • Wich connector are you using? A;so wich kind of monitor is that? An arcade one or a PC monitor?

  • I'm not sure what you mean by which connector. I'm using a JAMMA connector on the board and the P12 connector for the low kick harness. My monitor is a 27" VGA PC monitor, and I had to buy an RGB to VGA converter board to be able to use the RGB signal from the gameboard. If I could do it over, I would probably just buy a standard arcade monitor to save myself some headaches.

  • Do you need a ground from the VGA converter to the insulated transformer/isolation transformer? Or does the converter just need the video cables. Also does the converter get power from the jamma rigs power supply, or it's own power supply?

  • And then?..........WTF is this video supposed to show?

  • Quite a mess you got there. Also, is there any difference (sound, gameplay, graphics) between JAMMA and a MAME version of this game?

  • Oh, just read comments! ACV-011 lol. I think you've got an issue with the "front" or "back" porch on the vertical sync pulse. Your monitor is still showing video during vertical flyback. I wouldn't know if you need to adjust the monitor or the game board though :(

  • One cheap method is you could use a scan line converter ACV-011. It converts from RGB V:60Hz H:15-16kHz to VGA V:60Hz H:30-32kHz. Google it :D

  • Thx man, sorry for not being clear qith my question! Look I basically wanted to know how did you converted the video arcade signal into VGA . And also wanted to know the name of the converter (if any) or were to buy it. Thx again!
