Critics have long complained about the environmental cost of bottled water from Fiji. But now the bottler of Fiji water has an environmental plan - to make Fiji water carbon-negative. The World's Julia Kumari Drapkin conducts a taste test.

There are bottled waters that come straight from the tap...but not FIJI water. FIJI water is exactly what they claim it is, natural water that is untouched by man. The water goes through a high intensity UV light system to kill any micro organisms and is then filtered, bottled and packaged. No additives, no chemicals.

I've been to the plant. It is not tap water, it is artesian well water that is filtered, no additives at all. It's as pure as their claims.
