After hearing this for the first time on "Arie Antiche" I was fortunate to see Cecilia perform this live with Il Giardino Armonico and was breathless throughout. Now, having seen her sing this song with four different piano accompanists, I can't pick a favorite. No matter, in my 61+ years on this planet, this still resides at the very top of performances I have ever heard, by any singer. Ms. Bartoli is a gift from God.
