I can compare salt to msg because salt is not a food. It is a chemical. It consists of two minerals: sodium and chloride. There are two types of salt: table salt and sea salt, both of these are processed. There is strong evidence linking too much salt intake to high blood pressure as well as it brings some troubles in the kidneys and bladder. So it is not as healthy as you think. Both MSG and salt aren't good for the body if used in huge amounts.
