@ip0ts - there is only 2 Mic Pre's on the Duet - which means it will handle up to 2 MICS total - So, you would have to have a seperate mixer with pre's on it to gain more mic channels -
So, that said, you can mic the kick and snare or just put up two room mics and that's it.

just a noob question, with apogee DUET, up to how many mic can i use in recording an acoustic drum kit and how?can i combine all the six input? i know some people record drums on a single/dual mic but im not satisfied with the sound quality..anybody please help me>>
