Title: ME AND MY MOTHER. Video-performance by the young artist Ragnar Kjartansson. Every five years the artist repeat this performance with his mother. Each five years he makes a video and he'll do it untill one of the two performers dies. We can see the passing of time. Ragnar and his mother growing up. Their affective relationship changing but, at the same time, reapiting. The action of spitting changes its meaning. At first time appears as a violence. Then as a joke. And change again in a accusation, in a strange dialogue, in a paradox of love between the two figures.
Titolo: IO E MIA MADRE. Video-performance del giovane artista islandese Ragnar Kjartansson. Ogni cinque anni l'artista ripete la stessa performance con sua madre. Ogni cinque anni realizza un video e lo farà finché uno dei due protagonisti non morirà. Si può vedere il trascorrere del tempo. Ragnar e sua madre crescono, invecchiano. E la loro relazione affettiva che cambia ma allo stesso tempo si ripete. L'azione dello sputare cambia in continuazione di significato. A un primo sguardo appare come una violenza. Poi in un gioco. E si trasforma ancora in una sorta di accusa, in uno strano dialogo, in un paradosso dell'amore tra le due figure.
