Feel Fine was recorded by the Beatles as a single in 1964. In this iVideosongs title, Beatles LOVE producer Giles Martin details rock music's first recorded instance of feedback, the development of the song's distinctive guitar riff, and the unique tracking arrangements used in the studio. iVideosongs instructor Steve Rieck demonstrates the barre chord-based riff of the rhythm guitar along with the techniques used in the lead guitar solo. Intermediate level players will enjoy learning the memorable guitar parts of this medium-tempo song. This is a sample of a 50 minute video available for download at iVideosongs.com.

  • @stereovox5 open A? no, I'm a bassist and I can tell that he played a harmonic on the 12th fret A-string which is also an A-note.

  • wow giles you father was there DURING the recording process, shouldnt you know the acctual facts like that it was with his gibson not his rickenbacker... im disappointed

  • Everything about this is wrong... The feedback was from the J160 through and AC30 top boost channel just a little over-driven. Paul hit the open "A" on the bass, which reverberated through the J160 and fed-back through the very close and wide open AC30.

    It's also played from a barre position, a D at the 10th, C at the 8th, and G at the 3rd.

It was also not over-dubbed, as you can hear John choke off the feedback as he starts picking the riff at the 10th fret.

    Nice Hoffner though!

  • Wow ! Hate to disagree with you but the feedback was done on a j160e Acoustic . Before you claim to be an expert on the Beatles ( being an instructor and charging money for the downloads ) you really should have your facts straight. Next time call your dad and check with him. But nice touches on the LOVE album.
