Across the Universe - Sub Shout Out!

I wanted to put a special video together for all my subscribers here on YouTube, to show how much I appreciate their support.

What basically started out as a way of sharing videos of my family, with friends and other family members, has become a fun new hobby of mine, and has become a great way for me to explore my creative technical side.

I wanted a very special song for my 2 favorite performers to do, and Gary came up with, Across the Universe, by the Beatles. Their version is a twist of Fiona Apple's cover of the song. After reading the words to the song and hearing them play it, I thought it was perfect! If you really think about the words, it could be describing YouTube, in a way.

This was a great experience for me; making this video. It was my first attempt at blue screening and I had to work on other aspects of filming in more detail, like sound, lighting and editing, along with the floating mic stands and loud backbeats,
LOL! - I have sooo much to learn!

Special Thanks, to travelersole and thejapanshop, for their encouragement and input. Also to spamjelly (my first subscriber and friend), for helping me out with lighting issues and edenmaze for program advice.

A Very Special Thank You to Heather and Gary for their great performance, they both had to compromise a bit in their singing range, but pulled it off nicely. Bravo guys!!

I really love this video, what an awesome performance! And the sound is exceptional as is the video quality (for YouTube). I guess the code thing works.

Hey Robert, Actual the shoutout vid is old,I made it when I reached 100 subscribers-I was using it as an example of using the code that makes the picture clearer-most of my vids have been converted to flash before I upload & the code will not work to make them clearer, Across the Universe was the first example I thought to use because of the background images-Insert the code after the videos url in the address box: &fmt=18 It will be much clearer. Somehow misses the mark....she's not bad but the guy's voice doesn't quite cut it. Maybe they should've gone for a completely different take on the song , something a bit more original.
