God rest his soul but this was typical roger nielse nonsense always going after the opposing teams top player in the playoffs. They did the samething to LaFontaine in the 91 playoffs.

@SuperTugz - You Pens fans are proving over and over your recent bandwagonish habits. Lemieux did NOT have a broken wrist - he faked it - leading to Graves's suspension. Lemieux never wore a cast, and played again 10 days later. It's over and over cited as one of the worst moments in his career.
About cancer, tragic as it is - lots of people beat cancer - and God bless them all for doing it. That doesn't make Lemieux a great player because he did what many others do.

Yeah because overcoming cancer wasn't tough. You can't possibly compare it with Crosby, considering defenders got away with a lot more back then and literally would cheap shot him, but still couldn't stop him. There's a reason why Lemieux got standing ovations from New York fans in '93, Philly fans in '97, and Detroit fans in '09. People respect him, and you're a minority in comparing him to Sid.

Lemieux was, and always will be, a punk. He was a great player, but like Crosby, has absolutely no heart or toughness. Makes you wonder if he ever played pond hockey as a kid, or was he raised on organized hockey where the refs were there to blow the whistle every time it got a little rough.
Waiting for this to be voted down by the fair weather Pens fans, who abandon their team when they're not winning....
