School for Firefighters, you get Firefighter 1&2, Haz-mat awareness and operations, Emergency First Responder. you live at the school for 12 weeks, food and room included, as well as a two week in Huston Texas for your final exam. you will get to experience real fires, and hands on training from some of the best instructors. this course will allow you to apply to many other places world wide, which Pre-service can not offer, this Course only takes 3 months. this guys a great instructors, they will keep you safe, but also push you to your limits they will make you feel the pain of being a firefighter. In all their years of operating they have never had serious injury, i.e broken bones concussions of and sort of breathing problems. it is very safe and very informative.

@victorofd proper English LOL ( I Canadian) LOL nice to hear we share a passion for the fire service i can respect that you have been in the service for over 20 years. I'm sure you have some great wisdom to share with rookies, but don't demote a program before you have experienced it. I agree that they should be in full gear like the rest of us and if it was a Canadian I',m sure they would be in full gear. Tex'ans have a different way of doing things. but this should not scare anyone.

Wow, you should learn to speak English (or at the least write English) before you reply. Yes, I Canadian, but I haven't been in the pre service program. Ive been a firefighter for over 20 years and I too have been in some pretty precarious situations (that means scary). I've also learned from those situations and I never treat the Fire Service lightly, whether I'm at work or involved in training exercises.
There are many amazing Texas firefighters, some of the best, but not sure about these..

those instructors are from texas, not up here. and those instructors are the real deal not some fake wanna bees who talk shit this guys have been in serious shit before and were luck to walk away. if you canadian you should stick to the pre service course cause you could not handle a real program.
