Translation:
A disrespectful, action influed program by a 19 year-old who likes extreme martial arts, he has exercised wrestling and kung fu.

Adrian: It's the lifestyle, I think. There's much explosive in material arts, kicks, hits from nowhere. It's the same when you jump, you push as hard as you can. The same thing as when you fight.
If you just concentrate on your mistakes, you may be worse then what you maybe would be in the first place. It's actually the same in material arts, you have to remain calm. The one who lose his grip first, lose his control. And then you get a punch and fall.

The explosive in his skating comes from material arts. A guy with attitude, full of contrasts, temperamental.

Adrian: It has actually happened that I kicked things until they broked...

But sometimes too cool.

Adrian: I'm almost too calm, that I have to prepare before a competition. Then I play some death metal or something and then I get some energy.

And he'll need that because the free skate, more than four and a half minute, is a physical test of strength.

Adrian: It's very hard, I get maximum pulse. You get... well, your leg almost get numb. You skate like a zombie and in the same time trying to look good. It's funnier with people who've got attitude. Figure skating is quite snowbound, everyone has to look all the same and everything has to be nice and good, but I think it doesn't hurt that someone tries to bring some new stuff.

Adrian has suffered from a injury in his back and an explanation to the success in Euros may be that he has changed his fitness training.

Adrian: To combine the training with not only building muscle in your legs, but also the torso and arms. And I don't build big muscles, but what I have is only muscles, hardly no fat.
Reporter: Then you won't be able to fight in K1?
Adrian: No, I... Well, maybe in my brain, but not with my body.

  • he must of seen the movie blades of glory

  • He is the man of my Dreams. I want to marry him, and We can have Beautiful Blonde haired babies. <3

  • he is my favourite skater =D Adrian är bäst!!!!

  • I had never seen him skate until this year's Olympics. I think he's great - nice style, good choreography, great jumps, including a quad. I think he will win a medal next year at Europeans at least, maybe at Worlds. Hopefully, once the ISU sorts out the new judging system and skaters who take risks with quads are given proper credit, Adrian can make great progress. He skated brilliantly at Worlds 2010 in Turin in both programmes.

  • I saw him skate today for the first time at the World Championships in Turin and I think he's really good!..and very handsome too.. yeah it certainly has attitude..it's the first time I see a figure skater withy piercings = D Anyway he seems to have a quite strong personality.

  • Would never have won anything with the old 6.0 scoring system, but the present system is less bias, so if he's got the technical talent, he could win something. The judges can't judge him negatively on style, which they could in the past via the all important Presentation/Artistry marks.
