Bridge 277 ('Bridge Over the River Kwai') in Kanchanaburi, Thailand. After the war the newer square sections in the middle of the bridge were donated to Thailand by Japan.
The railway used to be much longer. But now most of it has rotted away. With the terrible history involved in its construction that's probably a good thing. At least the bridge still stands.

I was there in 1998. I remember eating at the Wang Pho Restaurant and seeing the JEATH War Museum.
