Bridge 277 ('Bridge Over the River Kwai') in Kanchanaburi, Thailand. After the war the newer square sections in the middle of the bridge were donated to Thailand by Japan.

  • The railway used to be much longer. But now most of it has rotted away. With the terrible history involved in its construction that's probably a good thing. At least the bridge still stands.

  • I was there 2010 great place great country had a wonderfull holiday will be back soon and the pongphen hotel was just great greetings to all the staff there!

    ive been there and i have been to pearl harbour. in each case there where happy noisy young japanese people . but when they left they where so quiet, they just dont Know what happend

  • I was there in 1998. I remember eating at the Wang Pho Restaurant and seeing the JEATH War Museum.
